Like most games, Morpheus Online has adopted a leveling system. One that helps players track their progress throughout the game. A player levels by gathering a set amount of experience points and investing them into various proficiencies. Experience is gained via roleplaying, quests, raids, and other events. As you gain this experience, you are free to allocate it to the proficiencies available to you. At this time, the experience will count towards your level. Unused experience will not count towards your level. It is the total amount of experience points currently invested in all of your proficiencies that will be used to calculate the level of your character.

Every character starts at level 1. When you start, you will gain a standard amount of experience points to allocate to the proficiencies currently available at character creation. It is up to you to gather experience in the different manners the world offers. You are able to distribute experience in increments that end in a 5 or 0. Such as 5, 10, 15, 20, 25...155, 200, 305...and so on. This just makes lives easier for the staff and it makes it a clearer way to track. See the chart below to see the experience requirement for levels 2-9.
The site’s current cap is level 9. Once more expansion packs are introduced, this cap will increase. Once a player reaches level 9, they will be locked from obtaining any additional experience.

[attr="class","rides"] Quests Rules
Quests are both player-made and staff-made. Player-made ones should be more focused on your own personal story and not the world at large. Staff-made quests tend to be rather generic so that multiple players may take on the quest over the life of the quest. Staff, also tend to make quests to help push the narrative of the story along for the site.
[break][break]
Members are able to go on a total of four quests at a time. If they wish to start a new quest but are already in four, then they must finish or drop one of the previous quests first.
[break][break]
Quest do not have set tiers per se though there is a general grouping. They grouping of the reward is based on the party’s average level, PAL. Quests will have a range of PAL that it finds acceptable to be appropriately difficultly. If your party falls within that range, they will gain a standard set of rewards for that quest’s difficulty. If you fall below that quest’s party level average range, then you can view the quest has more difficult for you and your party. This should result in higher risk involved during the quest and result in a harder time to complete. You will gain additional rewards for your valiant efforts! If your PAL falls above the range, you will gain lesser rewards as the system knows it was not difficult for you.

Raids are events that randomly occur in a certain location. Typically, a raid event is one that is rather large in scale but restricted to one thread. These threads often are when rips open up in Ravenia’s barrier and players and NPCs will fight off waves of incoming enemies for a short period of time. Once they are successful in keeping a rift from opening further, they will earn rewards typically in the form of large experience boosts.
